To find the western path,
Right through the gates of wrath
I urge my way;
Sweet Morning leads me on;
With soft repentant moan
I see the break of day.
The war of swords and spears,
Melted by dewy tears,
Exhales on high;
The sun is freed from fears,
And with soft grateful tears
Ascends the sky.
Per trovare il cammino occidentale
dritto per le porte dell’ira
spingo i miei passi.
Dolce pietà mi conduce innanzi,
con dolce pentito lamento
vedo l’inizio della giornata.
La guerra di spade e lance
sciolta da lacrime di rugiada
esala in alto.
Il sole è liberato dagli orrori
e con dolci grate lacrime
sale il cielo.
