For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
Ho detto alla mia anima di stare ferma,
e di stare ad aspettare senza sperare.
Perchè sperare sarebbe sperare la cosa sbagliata;
di stare ad aspettare senza amore.
Perchè l’amore sarebbe amore per la cosa sbagliata;
ma resta ancora la fede.
Ma fede e amore e speranza sono tutte nell’attesa.
Aspetta senza pensare, perchè non sei pronto per pensare.
E allora l’ oscurità sarà luce, e l’ immobilità danza.
