has gathered to say goodbye to you and me:
the sea, which threw nights at our beach,
the sand, which soared through it with us,
the rusty heather up there,
where the world happened to us.
Riunito tutto ciò che vedemmo,
a prender congedo da te e da me:
il mare, che scagliò notti alla nostra spiaggia,
la sabbia, che con noi l’attraversò di volo,
l’erica rugginosa lassù,
tra cui ci accadde il mondo.
