After so much garden
you sombrely look at this prison-home;
with what eyes do you ask me why?
How can we call this life? Yesterday
I dreamed about a forest,
it was beautiful as my garden
– enough, I do not want this fate.
(Transl. by D. Foglia)
Dopo tanto giardino
guardi serio questa casa prigione
con che occhi me ne domandi la ragione.
– Ma è vita questa? Ieri
ho sognato una foresta era
bella come il mio giardino
basta, non lo voglio questo destino.
