Sun with no shadows on virile
abandoned bodies. Each virtue is hushed.
Slowly the sea and the spirit are drowned
in a bright sleep. Then suddenly
the senses – young islets – leap up again
and sin no longer exists.
(Transl. by G. Singh)
Sole senz’ombra su virili corpi
abbandonati. Tace ogni virtù.
Lenta l’anima affonda – con il mare-
entro un lucente sonno. D’ improvviso
balzano – giovani isolotti – i sensi.
Ma il peccato non esiste più.
