It is only a light mist that frightens our vision.
Under a veil , gracious nature prepares for you
garlands of roses, and violets, and noble narcissus,
scented rewards for your songs.

Sei vicino ai piaceri, amico, alle valli, ai fiori:
osa, non ti fermare. Ecco, già sorge l’alba!
Solo una nebbia lieve il tuo sguardo intimorisce.
La natura benevola prepara sotto il velo
ghirlande di rose e di viole, di nobili narcisi
per te, profumate ricompense ai tuoi canti.
