So much water flowed under the bridge –
a vast river of blood too –
but a white stream flows
where Love ends,
in the gardens of the moon
– where you are glorified everyday –
this stream sings asleep.
That moon is my head
– a big blue sun revolves into it –
your eyes are this sun.
(Transl. by D. Foglia)
Tanta acqua è passata sotto i ponti
e anche un grande fiume di sangue
ma ai piedi dell’amore
scorre un bianco ruscello
e nei giardini della luna
dove ogni giorno si fa festa a te
questo ruscello canta addormentato
quella luna è il mio capo
dentro cui gira un grande sole blu
e gli occhi tuoi sono questo sole.
