Samuel Beckett (1906–1989)

Samuel Beckett  was an Irish poet, writer and theatre director. He is considered as a key figure of Modernism and of the Theatre of the Absurd, offering a tragicomic view on human existence. He was awarded the 1969 Nobel Prize in Literature.
