The poet alone has united the world
that falls apart in each of us;
He grants vast rights to Beauty;
but praising what torments him,
he has infinitely purified ruins:
and even annihilation turns into world.

Il poeta. Lui solo, ha unificato il mondo
che in ognuno di noi in frantumi è scisso.
Del bello è testimone inaudito,
ma esaltando anche ciò che lo tormenta
dà alla rovina purezza infinita:
e persino la furia che annienta si fa mondo.
