Federico Garcia Lorca – Corrente / Running

William Stott of Oldham, The Birth of Venus, 1887

That which travels
clouds itself.
The running water
can see no stars.
That which travels
forgets itself.
And that which halts itself
dreams.

Colui che cammina
si confonde.
L’acqua corrente
non vede le stelle.
Colui che cammina
si dimentica.
E chi si ferma
sogna.
