Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849)

Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer and poet. Poe is best known for his poetry and short stories, particularly his tales of mystery and the macabre. He is considered as a central figure of Romanticism and also as one of the originators of modern short story, and of both horror and detective fiction.
