Callimachus (310/305-240 BC)

Callimachus (in Italian Callimaco) was a Libyan Greek poet, critic and scholar at the Library of Alexandria. He is one of the most important scholar-poets of the Hellenistic age. Callimachus is best known for his short poems and epigrams.
